Speaker: Dr. Antonio Torrelo

Dr. Antonio Torrelo is Head of the Department of Dermatology in the Children’s Hospital del Niño Jesús in Madrid since 2007.

Dr. Torrelo acted as President of the Spanish Group for Pediatric Dermatology (2001-2004), the European Society of Pediatric Dermatology (2017-2019) and the International Society of Pediatric Dermatology (ISPD) (2013-2017). He was President of the World Congress of Pediatric Dermatology in Madrid, 2013.

 Dr. Torrelo acted as Editor-in-Chief of Actas Dermosifiliográficas (2002 to 2006), and Associate Editor of Pediatric Dermatology (2007-present). He belongs to the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology (2010 to 2013 and 2018-present).

 Dr. Torrelo has acted as Associate Editor for the Schachner LA, Hansen RC. Textbook of Pediatric Dermatology, 4th Edition; Senior Editor for the Schachner LA, Hansen RC. Textbook of Pediatric Dermatology, 5th Edition, 2021 (in press); Associate Editor for Bolognia J, Schaffer JV, Cerroni L. Dermatology, 4th Edition, , and 5th Edition (in preparation). He has also written or co-authored more than 30 chapters in international textbooks.

 Dr. Torrelo has lectured at Meetings of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (1993-2019), European Society of Pediatric Dermatology (2002-2020), World Congress of Pediatric Dermatology (2001-2017), and in more than 100 additional international congresses or courses, including the Society for Pediatric Dermatology (USA) in 2010 (The Esterly Lecture), 2011 (The Founders Lecture), and forthcoming 2021.

 Dr. Torrelo has authored or co-authored 303 scientific articles in journals indexed in PubMed.
